This past weekend the Video Review Labs crew ventured out to the 2014 Austin Fit Magazine (AFM) Fittest Competition to support our local athletes. The event was held at Camp Mabry, the Austin National Guard base, where the games could be set against the background of decommissioned fighter jets, helicopters, and tanks. A fitting place for a competition of some of the toughest, strongest athletes in central Texas.
Competitors took part in a range of events like the mile run, intervals, pull-ups, timed burpees, grip strength, and more. It was a hot summer day, but the athletes pushed hard and Austin Fit Magazine made sure everyone had a great time.
We met up with our good friend and on-camera fitness product expert, Justin Fischer, to tell us a little bit about the games in between his competitions. The team got to rub elbows with some of the great athletes of Austin, hear about what products they are excited about right now, and show our support for the local fitness community.
Our camera crew spoke with representatives from some of the event sponsors who were out there demonstrating some of their products:
Trigger Point Performance
Trigger Point Performance (the lead sponsor of the event) gave us the rundown on their top-of-the-line foam rollers that ease muscle pain and also get athletes warmed up before workouts.

Think Baby, Think Sport
Think Sport saved us about half-way through the day with their 50 SPF sunblock. The product is made with all-natural ingredients that are safe and comfortable on the skin. It’s also non-harmful to the environment so you’re safe to swim in lakes and oceans without the sunblock damaging any plant life or reefs.
